Madison Square Boys & Girls Club

The Madison Square Boys & Girls Club of New York has been bringing together young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods after school and during summer break to take part in educational and recreational programs. For several years, Create Joy has been a partner to its Computer Literacy Program. In addition to acquiring experience with the most common software programs, participants also work on the Internet and use computer resources to improve academic performance, prepare a résumé or optimize a job search.

The workshop is also an opportunity to develop artistic skills using digital technology via the creation of greeting cards, photo montages, videos and more.

Vivendi Create Joy joins Madison Square in congratulating Kenny and Jade, who won the Club Tech Digital Festival Regional Award for their film Meteor Claymotion.

“Through the Club Tech Digital Arts Festivals we’re able to inspire our future designers, game developers, filmmakers, and musicians,” said Sajda Abdul-Rahim, Technology Specialist at the Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse. “The members inspire me and challenge my creativity on a daily basis. It is amazing what our kids and teens can do when given access to technology and allowed to express themselves creatively. I am so proud of them all.”

We wish them luck in the national competition!
