The INJA Big Band

Arpejeh aims to promote training, qualification and employment for young persons with disabilities by developing projects for students (beginning in middle school) with handicaps.arpejeh_logos

The Big Band of the Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (INJA) is composed of 14 talented musicians discovered by trumpeter Alain Brunet and pianist Jean-Philippe Rykiel during the concert held for ARPEJEH’s third anniversary. Invited to the Parfum de Jazz festival of Saint Paul Trois Châteaux in Drôme, the INJA Big Band will play every day in off-peak sessions and in neighboring municipalities. It will be opening for the Florin Niculescu Trio’s homage to Stéphane Grappelli concert on August 22 in La Garde Adhémar.

This is an excellent opportunity for these young people to develop and refine their skills with the help of internationally renowned musicians in their discipline, and a prime chance to establish first-rate contacts between professionals and young people with disabilities.

From August 20 to 25, 2012, meet the INJA Big Band at the Parfum de Jazz festival in Saint Paul Trois Châteaux (Drôme).
